Your Mind Is Running On Autopilot

You already know what to do. You do other things instead. I show audiences why, and then I change a pattern on stage while they watch.

FEATURED IN

I'M JOSHUA REY PETERS

I've spent my whole working life learning how attention works.

First as an artist, leading a team whose work sold nationwide. Then four years touring schools as a puppeteer, where I learned how a gym full of restless kids decides, together, to believe a piece of cardboard is alive. Then thirteen years inside the world's largest farmer-owned organic food company. I know the pace, the pressure, and the meetings that follow you home, because they followed me home too.

And threaded through those years, sixteen seasons as a professional sideshow performer. Fire eating, a bed of nails, a straitjacket, festival crowds. It taught me how to hold a room with no second take. And it taught me what fear does to capable people, because I walked through my own to do all of it.

Today I run Minnesota Hypnotherapy. My clients have read the books, made the plans, hired the coach. They know exactly what they should be doing and they still don't do it. That gap is where I live. It's sitting in every seat of every conference room. And after thousands of sessions I know this: the pattern runs until it gets changed. Willpower pushes against it. Insight explains it. Neither one actually moves it.

When I speak, I don't just explain the mechanism. I show it working, on the room, in real time.

If you book speakers for a conference, an offsite, or a team, that's the conversation I want to have. Tell me about your event and I'll respond within a day. If it's not a fit, I'll tell you that too.

PROGRAMS

SPEAKING

THE KEYNOTE

 Running on Autopilot

How to change the patterns driving your life.

Every behavior your audience can't seem to stop is created by a pattern they didn't choose. This talk goes under the hood: where the patterns come from, why willpower isn't enough, and what it takes to actually change it.

And because hearing about it changes nothing, the room experiences this in real time. The audience enjoys simple experiments from their seat and a live demonstration of a pattern changing in the room.

People leave with an experience they can't forget.

Best for: conferences, sales teams, leadership offsites, associations

WORKSHOPS

 From Understanding to Reps

A keynote gives a room a demonstration. A workshop gives them reps. We take one pattern that's costing your team real money or real morale and work it until people can run the process themselves.

The Mind That Won't Shut Off
For the team that's sharp all day and awake all night: how to shut the alarm off on purpose, with a reset your people can run at their desks.

Confidence You Can Turn On
Confidence is a state, and states can be trained: build your best one and trigger it on demand before the pitch, the presentation, or the hard call.

The Conversation You Keep Rehearsing
For the feedback that's overdue and the conflict that's being managed around: turn the conversation you rehearse in the car into the one you actually have.

Formats: lunch and learn · 90 minute intensive · half day · full day

Best for: sales teams, leadership groups, retreats, association breakouts

PRIVATE WORK

 Deep Dive, One on One

For the problem that survived everything you threw at it.

The deep version, with me. We clear the charge on the old pattern, build what goes in its place, and stay with it until the new way is just how you are. Every private client also joins Brain Reset Lab, my weekly live practice group, for the whole engagement.

You've managed it long enough. This is where the pattern ends, and where you get yourself back.

Limited spots. It starts with a conversation.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

We invited Joshua to lead an employee wellness seminar at our company, and the experience was outstanding. His approach was professional, engaging, and truly impactful. Our team left feeling more relaxed, focused, and equipped with practical tools to manage stress.

Lisa Hellem, Law Firm Administrator

His live demonstration was a great way to illustrate his points, making the session both informative and enjoyable. I'd highly recommend him to anyone curious about the power of the mind.

Caitlin Pearson, Sr. Director, Digital Strategy

I came to Joshua because I was sick of my fear of public speaking holding me back in my work. With his help I tackled a stressful project and cracked the code on my public speaking fears. This was a hugely successful professional development investment for me.

Sarah Clark, Founder and Owner
